New concept sketch...
haven't posted for the past 3 days due to being on a 200km cycle trip to Austria and back with Oliver. Needed to get the hell out of Oktoberfestland...
Here is a concept sketch I've been working on. I keep thinking about golden windows in dark woods. These are kind of like the keyholes... things you can peep though, secret things... voyeur things... Perhaps it will turn into a necklace one day...
2 more backdated posts to come!
Eep!
Okay, so it's after midnight. But I haven't slept yet. So...still Saturday, right? Or not. Those of you who I have penalty arrangements with, you can make the call.
Proprioception
Feeling somewhat large,
I open the door wider.
But not wide enough.

Ben 10-6
A game for my friend AH.
1) When you ask someone out on a date, you get a point.
2) If they agree, you get ten points.
3) If someone else asks you out and you say yes, you get five points.
4) If it goes well, you get twenty points.
Player with the most points wins.

On Farting
Pregnancy is a gassy time,
which is not necessarily commonly discussed
Sometimes (stay with me)
it’s kind of
nice.
The varying pitches,
tones & rhythms
high mosquito whine
or deep screen door scratch
The spreading moment of relief
The complex
& daily-changing
odor
citrus broccoli, maybe,
or earthy clay.

In the land of the immortals
tall, proud, red-skinned
healthy and vigorous
young without flowering
There are those who have come from far away
they have always been here
they know nothing else
but in september they remember how to die

Cleaning out the closet
Some things are like—no,
I still can’t part with them.
The plaster cast of my face
from making masks in 2002.
The white & blue striped cloth shower curtain
(one of the first pieces of grownup décor
I ever bought, from Restoration Hardware,
pleased with my taste and its quality)
that doesn’t go anywhere in this house.
We might move again someday!
(It might match
the new décor?)
The piece of lovely
(expensive!)
tapestried fabric
left over from re-covering
the vanity chair.
There’s enough for a whole new
seat.
What if I need to re-re-cover?
The skateboard sized for three-year-olds
that was a prop for a play in my first
festival—
Petra might grow into it,
or my son might like it, once he, you know,
gets born, and then
turns
three.
The (full) day-planner from when
I was so organized in college.
The medal I won at Burning Man.
The sexy shoes I never wear.
I pile them all together, thinking
if I just find the right storage solution
I will know to go and fetch these things
The year, the day, the minute
I need them.
I am certain
I will need them.
How much of this do I get to carry, in a lifetime?
How
do I make
enough
space?
And the voices of my sensible friends
the very pragmatic voices I do not need to consult to hear
The pity-filled but firm voices
implying sympathetic
shaking of heads
they say,
(though I don’t want to listen,
but if I cover my ears
I can read it on their lips)
Let it go,
let it
go,
let
it
go.

A clear, chilling sky
A south wind
I don't miss you
but I love you
I imagine that you saw this selfsame wind.
That you told it a story for me
that it has forgotten
I tell the wind a story for you. It will forget on my behalf
It is better to tell our stories to the wind than to each other
the wind forgets the pain that we will not
wish for a world
where we could have been brothers.

Frame Pendants work in progress...
So I'm currently working on these two pendants for the shop. Basic frame pendants which will hopefully house a black star sapphire and a yellow fancy colored sapphire or Citrine... working on two at a time so I can't post the finish product of either yet. So I hope this image will count!
