Fragments

Mistake. Earthquake shake awake and ache, break, fall.
The mask is like the mask before. Turn away, crawl.
Mandrake. Smooth green snake. Replace mask, stall.

***

This life was like a stretch of night, washed in shades of grey
I dragged that world of black and white to the warm light of day.

  1. *really* want you to turn that first fragment into a whole poem. I was so entranced by the tight form I had to read it again for the sense of it, got shivers, think about failed love.

    1. I don't know if I can sustain it over a narrative! I didn't exactly set out to write this poem it fell out of my wetware while I was trying to write about Yog Sothoth. :)
