Caramelized grapefruit:
They musta taken a crème brulée torch to it.
Sugar on top.
They mmmm musta mmmm
there’re some seeds of course
little bitter on the inside,
not like what the sweet top promised
hard to get at with this dull spoon
A lot will be left on my plate
when I leave this restaurant—
not for not trying to get at it.
Just for running out of time
and also because of saving room for bacon.
