Mike & I spent 8 hours yesterday and 8 hours today in the hot shop, making glass for a color application intensive. When I bewailed the fact this evening that I hadn't yet written a poem, he pointed out that the hand-blown glass I've been making for the last two days would probably qualify. Oh yeah! Hey look at what I made! Technically, I blew this glass yesterday, but it came out of the annealer today, so it wasn't finished until today--that counts, right? And tomorrow we'll get the next batch out of the annealer.
The green pitcher isn't something I blew this weekend, but I included it because I'm proud of it.
Ain't it purty?
Cracked the bottom of my glass when I broke it off the punty, alas!
Gorgeous gradient in the dots!
